Meet the Team in Your Corner
Coach Oscar
My journey in martial arts began in 2008, when being undersized and frequently picked on motivated me to learn how to defend myself. What started as a way to build confidence and protect myself eventually grew into a lifelong passion for the sport of mixed martial arts.
Over the years, that passion led me to compete as a professional fighter and earn my black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2023 and Through years of training, competition, and personal development, martial arts has taught me lessons that extend far beyond the mats: discipline, resilience, perseverance, and the importance of continually striving to become a better version of yourself.
Today, as a school owner and instructor, my mission is to share those lessons with others through MMA and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I believe martial arts is about much more than fighting. It's about building confidence, overcoming adversity, developing discipline, and discovering what you're capable of through consistent effort and dedication.
My goal is to create an environment where students of all backgrounds can challenge themselves, develop practical skills, and grow both on and off the mats. Whether someone is learning self-defense, pursuing competition, or simply looking to become stronger physically and mentally, I believe martial arts has the power to make a lasting impact on their life.

My martial arts journey began in 2017 when I stepped onto the mats for my first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class. From day one, I was hooked; not just by the techniques, but by the problem-solving and grit the sport demands. That initial passion turned into years of dedicated training, resulting in me earning my black belt in February 2026.
In 2020, I expanded my skills into striking, training Muay Thai at Team Toro under Kru Ricardo Perez. Just like with Jiu-Jitsu, I fell in love with the art and split my focus between both disciplines. Over time, I began helping my teammates prepare for their MMA fight camps. Pushing them in training eventually sparked a desire to test my own abilities, leading me to step into the cage myself. As an amateur MMA fighter, I compiled a 3-1 record, with all three victories coming by way of submission, alongside a 2-0 Muay Thai record, and numerous gold-medal finishes across Gi and No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu tournaments.
Looking back, some of my most rewarding moments haven't just been the wins, but the process of helping my training partners sharpen their skills and reach their goals. Now, I’m thrilled to step into the role of coach and instructor. My goal is simple: to pass down the knowledge, discipline, and lessons my coaches gave me, help every student, whether they’re a beginner or an active competitor, and build confidence and succeed on their own path.

My Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey began in 2016 when I stepped onto the mats with the goal of learning self-defense. What started as an interest in martial arts quickly became something much more meaningful. I found a community, a skill set that extends far beyond the mats, and an environment that constantly challenges you to grow. Through years of training, competing, and earning my purple belt in 2019, Jiu-Jitsu has taught me valuable lessons in problem-solving, building confidence, and remaining calm under pressure.
Along the way, I had the opportunity to help teach children's Jiu-Jitsu classes, where I discovered how rewarding it is to help others develop their skills, build confidence, and grow both on and off the mats.
Outside of Jiu-Jitsu, I'm a strength and lifestyle coach with Kettlebell Transformation, where I help men build strength, lose weight, and develop healthier habits to become the best versions of themselves. For fun, I enjoy running ultra marathons having completed distances up to 100 miles. These experiences have reinforced my belief in discipline over motivation, consistency over perfection, and embracing challenges as opportunities for growth.
For me, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu/ MMA is about much more than learning submissions or self-defense. It's about becoming comfortable in uncomfortable situations, thinking clearly under pressure, and developing the confidence to face challenges both on and off the mats.
As an instructor, my goal is to create a positive and supportive environment where kids and beginners can develop strong fundamentals, build confidence, and discover what they're capable of. I hope to share the same lessons Jiu-Jitsu has given me and help students carry those lessons into their everyday lives.
